In Texas, Brandy Sorto was accused of shaking and killing her infant son in 1999. She was convicted of injury to a child and sentenced to 17 years in prison. A new medical examiner reviewed the case and found the baby, sick since birth, showed no signs of Shaken Baby Syndrome. The conviction was overturned and she was released after five years in prison.
